Roatan - New Years 2010

We left Christmas day and spend the holidays diving. Despite being eaten alive by no-see-ums and sand mites we had a great time. We stayed at CoCo View Resort and all of our diving was included. The great thing was you could do two boat dives a day, and/or unlimited shore diving. The resort has two reef walls just out front along will a sunken freighter and DC3 airplane. You could do as much or as little diving as you wanted to. The Dockside Dive Center was one of our favorite places to visit. Patty was fun to talk to, and you can always look at new dive gadgets. She also gave us some tips on our buoyancy, and Jen was able to drop two pounds from her weight belt. A great thing about a "dive" resort is that everyone is in bed by nine o'clock because they are exhausted. We would hang around after dinner using the wi-fi and our netbook, then retire to the room watch a movie and go to sleep. It was very low key and we met some new folks from all walks of life who share the same passion for diving. We were assigned a dive master and boat captain at the beginning and they stayed with us for the week. Kirk and Robert were the best, always willing to help with your gear and to find the best fish.
